The VPTA AGM will be held at 11am, Monday 15^th September at the Northcote Town Hall.

Public Tenants Bill of Rights

The VPTA Advocacy Standing Committee recently produced the following Public Tenants Bill of Rights which will be officially launched at 3.20pm on Tuesday 29^th July, Northcote Town Hall, during the 2008 conference.

CHANGES TO THE VPTA CONSTITUTION

Main changes are:

Committee of Management to consist of 11 public tenant members – there will be a maximum of 3 representatives from any one OoH region
There are now 2 categories of membership – individual members and associate members. Only individual members have voting rights. All Victorian public tenants are eligible to apply for membership.

The CoM has the power to co-opt members for their expertise.
There is an information form for CoM nominees to fill out so that members will know who they are voting for. The form must be filled out and returned with the nomination form and copies will be circulated to members before the AGM (see form below).

VPTA AGM, 2008

The VPTA AGM will be held at 11am, Monday 15^th September at the Northcote Town Hall. Nominations will open in the first week of August and close at 5pm on Thursday 4^th September. Voter information sheets will be sent to all members Friday 5^th September so they will be well informed before the AGM on the 15^th September.
